Who is responsible
Safaritrixun Ltd is responsible for personal information processed in connection with this website and editorial correspondence. Our registered office is 27 Wren Street, York YO1 6DS, United Kingdom; Company No. 15376824. Contact [email protected] for privacy enquiries.
Browsing and technical information
When your browser requests a page, the hosting infrastructure receives technical information such as your IP address, requested resource, time of request and browser information. Server logs may be used to deliver the website, diagnose faults and protect against abuse. The basis for this processing is our legitimate interest in operating a reliable and secure publication. This website’s own code does not add analytics, advertising identifiers or cross-site tracking.
The contact drafting tool
Place selections, questions and editable previews are processed in your browser. The tool does not send those fields to us or store them in localStorage. Copying writes the preview to your device’s clipboard when you request it; downloading creates a text file on your device. Your browser or operating system may retain clipboard contents, downloaded files or form history under its own settings.
If you choose to email us separately, we receive the information you send, including your email address and message. We use it to respond, assess corrections and maintain relevant correspondence. We rely on legitimate interests in handling enquiries and maintaining editorial accuracy. Do not include health records, identity documents or other sensitive information.
Preferences stored on your device
The optional preference controls on our Cookies page save your choice in localStorage. This is browser storage rather than an HTTP cookie. The saved value does not contain your message or identify you by name. You can change it on that page or remove it through your browser’s site-data settings.
Sharing and retention
We do not sell personal information. Hosting and email providers may process technical information or correspondence as needed to provide their services. Information may also be disclosed where required by law or necessary to establish or defend legal rights. If a provider processes personal information outside the United Kingdom, applicable transfer safeguards are required.
Correspondence is retained only while reasonably needed to address the enquiry, maintain an editorial record or meet legal obligations. Technical logs should be limited to the period needed for operational and security purposes. We do not promise a fixed deletion date where an unresolved issue or legal requirement requires continued retention.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing depends on consent, you may withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing. Email us to exercise your rights; we may need proportionate information to verify the request.
You may complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, or another competent data protection authority. We encourage you to contact us first so we can try to resolve the concern.
External websites and changes
Following an external link takes you to a service with its own privacy practices. We do not control those services. We may update this notice when the website or processing changes; the date above identifies this version.
